The ATM SL-1 and ATM SL-1S shelter doors are designed to open outward in the direction of the blast wave and meet—and in some cases exceed—the standards established by Finland for S1 shelters. The cover flap is made of a single piece of 20 mm thick steel plate for the ATM SL-1 and 30 mm thick steel plate for the ATM SL-1S, providing additional shrapnel protection.ATM SL-1 hatches feature a multi-point locking system with arms that provides advanced protection against blast wave pressure, as well as a rubber gasket for gas tightness.
