SU-III-INW shelter hatches are designed in accordance with current technical standards for civil defense shelters to open inward (toward the direction of the explosion) and withstand an explosion pressure of >440 (4.4 bar). The hatch flange is constructed from beams reinforced with cladding plates. The doors can be upgraded with armor plates for shrapnel/ballistic protection and special materials for fire resistance.SU-III-INW hatches feature a multi-point locking system with locking bolts that provide advanced protection against blast wave pressure, as well as a rubber gasket for gas tightness.
